She was faithful to her Christian duties and especially as a Sabbath school teacher until she was prevented by, disease from performing her much cherished duties. She leaves her husband and two daughters, Mrs. S.C. Bingham, of Manning, Iowa, and Mrs. T.T. Schroeder, of Denver, Colorado. One daughter died in infancy. Also she leaves four grandchildren, her sisters in the church and a number of friends One of Sister Shepherd's choice verses was, "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psalms 126:5."

Her funeral services were held from the M.E. Church on April 7 at 2 p.m.

A goody number were in attendance to sympathize with the bereaved and to show their appreciation for the departed. Her remains were deposited in the Manning Cemetery to await the general resurrection morning. The services were conducted by the writer.
