Services for Verna T. Olberts, 86, of 825 17th St., Moline, are noon Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, Illinois, where she was a member.

Visitation will follow the service at Culemans Memorial Hall, 1624 14th St., Moline. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the church.

Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Olberts died Tuesday, May 2, 1995, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline.

The former Verna Vehrs was born February 6, 1909, in Manning, Iowa, the daughter of Gustav and Bertha (Opperman) Vehrs. She married Joseph H. Olberts in June 1927 in Manning, Iowa. He died in 1979.

She retired in 1976 after 20 years at Milwaukee County Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Duane R. Olberts, Moline; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
