A memorial service for Velma Nissen was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, 1996, at the Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel in Sun City West, Arizona, 85375. Interment will be held in Manning, Iowa.

Velma (Bingham) Nissen was born March 28, 1904, in Shelby, Iowa. She moved from Manning to Sun City West in 1990.

Velma died Thursday, March 14, 1996, in the Sun West Nursing Home, Sun City West, Arizona, at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 15 days.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Roberts (Myna); two grand-daughters, Nancy Roberts of New York City and Linda Roberts of Oakland, California; two sisters, Grace Bingham of Hayward, California, Raeia Bell of Craig, Colorado, and one brother, Clayton Bingham of Chula Vista, California.
