TOM SIGNALL

Funeral services for Thomas Signall, 55, of Manilla, who died following a heart attack while working on his cream route near Irwin Monday morning, are being held today (Thursday 1948) in Manilla at 1 o'clock and at the Ohde Funeral Home here at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Cecil Latta of Manilla in charge. Pallbearers are Henry Kenkel, William Joens, Harold Olson, Clifford Younie, Floyd Grage, and John Wilfong.

Interment in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Signall was born in Carroll county December 28, 1892, and reached the age of 55 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

He married Louisa Schoemaker at Gray where the deceased spent most of his life. For many years he was in the grocery and general merchandise business there.

About 10 years ago the family moved to Manilla and for the past three years he has been driving a cream route truck.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elaine Ivy and a son, Thomas Gerald; two grandchildren, all of Manilla; his mother, Jennie (Woodward) Signall of Gray, three brothers, Will of Royal, Francis of Ralston and Albert of Gray; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Bakken of Ogden, and Mrs. George Dozier of Gray.


Tom Signall Dies Of a Heart Attack
Thomas Signall 55, Manilla, died of a heart attack near Irwin about noon yesterday, March 1, 1948, while riding in a truck on a cream route.

The Ohde Funeral home, where the body was taken, transported that the Shelby County coroner ruled the death was from natural causes. Raymond Rhinefeldt of Manilla was reported driving the cream truck.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday with, the Rev. Cecil Latta of the Manilla Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

MR. SIGNALL is survived by his widow, two children; three brothers, Will, Royal; Francis, Ralson; Albert, Gray; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Bakken, Ogden; Mrs. George Dozler, Gray, and his mother, Mrs. Will Signall, Gray.

Born in Manning December 28, 1892, he was son the son of William and Jennie (Woodward) Signall.
