Funeral rites for Tamara Jo Wegner, 12, daughter of Major and Mrs. Allen D. Wegner of Fairfax, Virginia, were held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning on Saturday, August 15, 1970, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Andrew Stewart-Morris of the Manning Methodist Church was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery with her uncles as pallbearers: Robert Wegner, Duane Wegner, Robert Grundmeier and Daryl Stuhr.

Tamara was injured in an auto accident near her home on August 9 and died in a hospital at Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday, August 12.

The family had lived in Fairfax approximately a year. Tamara was active in Girl Scouting and would have entered junior high school this fall.
