SYLVINA SWENSON Sylvina A. Swenson, 83, of Story City died of cancer Friday at Story City Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Randall, Iowa.

Daughter of Swen and Julia (Odson) Swenson, she was born in 1902 and died December 5, 1986.

Miss Swenson was born in Hamilton County. She was a retired schoolteacher in Forest City and North Polk and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Rose Swenson, Ina Larson, and Dora Hougland, all of Story City; and three brothers, Sherman Swenson and Reuben Swenson, both of Jewell, and Hallie Swenson of Roland.

Sylvina Swenson of Story City has been hired by the board of instruction to teach junior high algebra and seventh and eighth grade arithmetic. Miss Swenson began her duties in the Manning Schools Monday.
