Funeral services for Steven J. Wailes, 62, were held at 1 p.m., at Adams & Soderstrum Funeral Home in Ames, on Saturday, January 23, 2016.

Steven John Wailes was born in Manning, on April 28, 1953, to Deloris Lindholm and Bill Wailes. He passed away at his home in Ames, on January 18, 2016, at the age of 62.

Steve is survived by his mother, Dee Lindholm, his daughter, Lydia Perry of Tennessee; his sisters, Kathy Cartwright of Florida, Jean Fisher of Iowa, and Gail Schayfer, as well as his brothers, Craig (Judy), Mark, Steven and Curt (Traci) Lindholm and John Wailes.

He was preceded in death by Joe Lindholm, Michael Wailes, William "Bill" Wailes, many special nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
