LORETTA ROSE SEXTRO

Loretta, daughter of Joseph and Mary Hoffman Seyller, was born November 23, 1908, at Templeton, Iowa. She lived with her family in the Templeton area and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1925. After graduation Loretta taught country school in Eden Township for 16 years.

On May 30, 1945, Loretta was united in marriage with Ben Sextro at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. They farmed the family farm near Templeton. In 1960, they moved to a farm just outside of Manning. Loretta was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Manning. Ben died on December 1, 1984, and Loretta remained on the farm, spending the winters with her daughter in California. In 1989, she chose to remain in California.

Loretta had been in failing health for three years before her death on Monday, April 13, 1992, at her daughter's home in Los Gatos, California. She was 83 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her children: Bernice and her husband, Richard Starrett, of Los Gatos, California; Loren Sextro, of Long Beach, California; and Eldon Sextro, of Long Beach California; her grandchildren; her sister, Martha Meyer, of Carroll; her brother, Walter Seyller, of Carroll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11: 25, 26
