Sarah Jane Wunderlich

Sarah Jane (Thomas) Wunderlich was born in Adair County, Iowa, December 18, 1868. Her girlhood was spent near her birthplace. In the spring of 1884 she moved with her parents to a farm near Manning, and here she was married to Nick Wunderlich July 4, 1889. To this union four children were born: George, Flora, Albert, and Herman, all of whom are living.

The first year of Mr. and Mrs. Wunderlich's married life was spent on a farm near Manning, after which they moved to a farm southeast of Logan, and moved to Logan in the spring of 1898 where they resided until her death. She departed this life at her home September 15, 1910, at the age of 41 years, 8 months and 27 days.

Sister Wunderlich has been a member of the Methodist Church for 21 years, and always lived a consistent, Christian life. She was a true, faithful, patient sweet-spirited companion and mother.

She leaves a husband, four children and two brothers, George Thomas, of Horton, Kansas, and Louis Thomas, of near Logan, and a sister, Mrs. Maggie Blair, of Winterset, Iowa, with other relatives who are deeply grieved over her sudden departure.

A funeral service over the body at the church by the Pastor, Rev. A.D. Davis, Saturday at 3 o'clock, p.m., in the presence of sorrowing relatives and friends of the deceased.

Mr. Wunderlich and family have the most tender sympathy of the entire community.
