Ruby M. Rose, age 90 of Anoka, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at The Landings Assisted Living in Blaine.

Ruby was born on January 19, 1928, in Manning, Iowa, to Henry and Minnie (Rostermundt) Lohmeier. She worked for 18 years at Control Data and was an avid reader, especially of her Bible. Ruby's faith was very important to her; she dedicated her life to the United Methodist Church of Anoka, where she was a longtime member, devoting countless hours to volunteering for various functions. Ruby enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially about growing up in the small community of Manning, Iowa, where she graduated in 1946.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her son, Tracy; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children, Terry Diffley; Mike (Carlyn); and Mark; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Watters; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the United Methodist Church of Anoka, 850 South Street, Anoka. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka, and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)

Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka, Minnesota.
