Rosa Bell Millett, daughter of Orlando and Hannan Millett was born in Freeport, Illinois, September 20, 1874. She passed away of a stroke October 16, 1954, at her home in Botna, at the age of 80 years and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to Charley Weems February 12, 1895, and to this union 6 sons were born, namely Earl of Manning, Burl, Homer, and Eldon at home, and Newton of Iola, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband in April of 1930 and one son, Ralph, February 6, 1953.
Much of her lifetime was spent in Shelby County, and for the last 38 years she had lived in Botna.
She is survived by five sons, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 20 at the Ohde Funeral home in Manning with the burial in the Manning Cemetery. Pastor Louis Miller of the Botna Church officiated and a male quartet from the Omaha Baptist Bible Institute sang.
Pallbearers were Charles Ramsey Jr., Jasper Ward, Gale Moore, George Justice, Marvin Linde, and Ernest Ehlers.
