Funeral services for Robert Charles Mericle, 2 1/2, year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mericle of Omaha, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

The boy was accidentally strangled while playing in Omaha Tuesday afternoon, November 27, 1962. His mother is the former Mary Helen Stangl of Manning. He was born April 25, 1960, at San Francisco, California, and had lived in Omaha for the past 16 months.

Surviving are his parents and one sister, Linda Michelle. Other survivors include his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kuhl, Denison, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kuhl, Manning.
