Rite of the Christian burial for Regina M. Mohr was at 10:30 a.m. today, Monday, October 31, 1994, at Sacred Heart Church in Manning with the Rev. Ralph Reinhart officiating.
Mrs. Mohr, 95, died Friday, October 28, 1994, at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll.
Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Gilbert Phillips, Rourke Mullen, Kevin Brown, Patrick Mohr, Leroy Dammann, and Doug Hargens.
Ohde Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born November 19, 1898, at Elma, Iowa, she was a daughter of Thomas and Cecilia (McMahon) Kelley. She graduated from Elma High School and attended Drake University in Des Moines for two years. She then taught rural school.
On June 28, 1921, she married John H. Mohr at Elma. They lived in Manning where Mr. Mohr was a mail carrier. Mr. Mohr died in 1957. Mrs. Mohr continued to live in Manning. She suffered a stroke in 1975 and moved to the Carroll Health Center the next year. Mrs. Mohr was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish in Manning, its Altar Society and Study Club.
A Gold Star Mother, Mrs. Mohr was a charter member of both the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
Survivors include her children, Donald F. Mohr and his wife, Livie, of Manning and Dale T. Mohr of Clovis, California; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Daryl, in World War II; a grandson, Michael John Mohr; three sisters, Lutabelle, Pearl, and Rosalia; and a brother, Thomas.
