RAYMOND WIESE
Raymond Wiese, 72, of Vail, died Tuesday, March 15, 1983, in the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison. He was retired Crawford County bridge crew member.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison with the Rev. Steven Bomely, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Vail, officiating. Burial will be in the Vail Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Wiese is survived by his wife, Vada, Vail; a step-son, Dean Farrell, Vail; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; eight brothers: Leslie, Manning; George, Charter Oak; Elmer, Alvin, Leonard, and Wilmer, all of Vail; Emil, Arcadia; and Clarence Wiese, Denison; and two sisters: Mrs. Viola Dozark, Vail, and Mrs. Ida Crampton, Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Mr. Wiese, son of Detlef and Alma (Kruetzfeldt) Wiese was born July 29, 1910, in Hayes Township, Crawford County. He spent his early life on the farm northwest of Manning, attended rural school at Hayes No. 8, worked for farmers for a time, and later became a mechanic, working in a Vail garage. He was married to Vada Crampton Farrell on October 30, 1947, in Denison. From 1947 to 1975, he was employed by the county on a bridge crew. After he retired, he continued to live in Vail.
