Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke will officiate. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.
Mr. Mahnke, son of Herman and Laura Voege Mahnke, was born August 15, 1910, in Wheatland Township, Carroll County. At the age of five years, he moved with his parents to a farm in Crawford County and attended rural school s. His marriage to Gladys Hell took place at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning December 8, 1938. They lived on a farm north of Manning until retiring and moving to Denison February 1, 1968.
He is survived by his wife; his father, a resident of Eventide Home, Denison; and four brothers, including Alfred of Albert City; Leonard and William, Denison; and Herbert of Manning.
