Ralph E. McMurphy
Ralph E. McMurphy, 81, a resident of Billy Sunday Retirement Home, 6120 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa, died Friday, December 17, 1976, at the nursing home after a long illness.

Mr. McMurphy was born July 18, 1895, at Manning, Iowa.

He moved to Sioux City when he was a young man.

He was employed by Larson Brothers Plumbing Company, and later purchased the firm. He was associated with the company for about 50 years.

Mr. McMurphy was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jon Bert (Mary Ann) McElreath of Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Kudrle of Kingwood, Texas; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ken (Jackie) Kleine of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Vernal Andersen of Audubon, Iowa; and Mrs. Myrtle Fairchild of Harlan, Iowa; two brothers, Cleo in Missouri and Donald in Kansas, and four grandchildren.

A memorial in the name of Mr. McMurphy is being established with the American Cancer Society.

The W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside has charge of arrangements.
