MRS. ALBERT POLZIN LAID TO REST
January 9, 1941

Funeral services were held from the Flagler Lutheran church Monday for Mrs. Albert Polzin, who passed away at her home here Friday. She was laid to rest in the Flagler cemetery.

Mrs. Polzin was born in Prussia, Germany, December 17, 1880, and was 80 years of age at the time of her death. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith December 26, 1860, and had remained a faithful, member of that church until her death.

In 1881, she came to the United States with her parents and they settled at Audubon, Iowa, In 1882, she was married to Albert C. Polzin and they lived at Audubon until 1921, when they moved to Flagler and have lived here ever since.

Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Polzin and nine of them survive their mother, the eldest having died. Those living are Ida, Fred (Louis), Arnold (Ted) and Mrs. John Neimann, all of Flagler, Mrs. Matilda Ecker of Limon, Frank Polzin of Englewood, Colorado, and Julius Polzin of Gray; Iowa. She is also survived by Mr. Polzin, eight grandchildren and a brother, Albert Rudnick, of Gray, Iowa.

Rev. H.C. Loesel conducted the funeral services at the church Monday and the pall bearers were Theo. Dierker, Ernest Einspahr, John Meyer, Geo. Blancken, Norman Haeseker and Julius Radtke. The Shaw Mortuary was in charge of the funeral.
