PETER STEPHANY
A mass of requiem was read in the chapel of St. Anthony's Home at 6:15 o'clock Monday morning for Peter Stephany, 65, by the Rev. Father Donahue, Chaplain. The body was interred in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The pallbearers were Thomas O'Connor, James O'Donnell, James Brophy, Thomas Ryan, Peter Breen, and J. Butler.

Mr. Stephany was a former auditor of Carroll County, former postmaster at Manning, Iowa, and for many years he was engaged in the real estate and insurance business in Manning. During the late war he was secretary of the Red Cross in Carroll County. He was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen of America.

Son of John and Agnes (Goeser) Stephany, he was born in 1867.

Mr. Stephany is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude Stephany; two daughters, Gertrude (Mrs. Grover C.) Bieter, Des Moines, Mrs. Beatrice Timmins, Huntley, Illinois; a grandson, Richard Timmins, Huntley; several sisters and brothers. He had resided at St. Anthony's Home for the past two years.
