PETER H. SCHROEDER

Peter Henry Schroeder, 89, of Gray died Sunday, January 30, 1966, in the Salem Nursing Home at Elk Horn, where he had been for a year and a half.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist Church here, of which he was a member, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Edna C. Whitson will officiate and music will be provided by Mrs. Gene Dustin, soloist, and Mrs. Rose McLaughlin, organist. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.

Mr. Schroeder, son of Juergen and Marie (Schluntz) Schroeder, was born in Scott County October 11, 1876. He came to Audubon County as a child and attended school near Gray. His marriage to May Stribe took place in October 1913, and they farmed in Lincoln Township. In 1916, they moved to the present farm, in the same Township.

He is survived by his wife; a son, George, at home; a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Verna) Musfeldt, Manning; four grandsons, a great-granddaughter; and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Anna Cole, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Fredericka Ohrt, Mrs. Greta Carstens, and Mrs. Amos S. (Elsie) Carlile, Manning; Mrs. Rose Hazard, Sacramento, California; and B.W. Schroeder, Hawthorne, Nevada.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Alta) Wilson in 1955; a brother, Cleve; and two sisters, Pearl, in infancy, and Mrs. Dora Sievers.
