Pamella Palmer
Pamella Mae Palmer grew up in the Mapleton area, daughter of Carl and Helen (Driscoll) Weifenbach, was born November 8, 1943, and received her education at St. Mary's Catholic School in Mapleton.

She died July 23, 2015, and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mapleton, Iowa.

Over the years, she worked and lived in various communities in the Siouxland area and settled in Anthon, Iowa. She moved to her home in Correctionville in 1989. From its origin, Pam worked as a waitress at the Fireside Steakhouse in Anthon. She worked hard there for over 35 years, serving her customers efficiently with a smile and a quick conversation. People not only came there for the food but also to sit in Pam's section, receive great service, and maybe a little of Pam's humor. She loved ribbing people.

Pam loved to crochet and that is evident by the numerous Afghans in her home and those she shared with family and friends. She liked watching birds and working in her yard, gardening, and flowers. She loved her dogs, Abby, who died some time ago and currently her dog and buddy, Pirate. Pam liked to spend time at the casino and was known to play a few similar games on her computer. She was a fan of Facebook where she enjoyed keeping up with her many Facebook friends. Above all, Pam's passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her one great grandson. They loved being with her too and will miss her place in their lives.

She was survived by a daughter, three sons, six grandchildren, a great grandson, five brothers, and three sisters.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joseph and Wendall Weifenbach, and sisters, Yolanda "Lonnie" Weifenbach and Sherri Hallmark.

Note for historical purposes - these Weifenbach children attended Manning, Iowa, Schools but none of them graduated here: Carmen, Carl, Pamela, Wendell, Richard, Sherry, Daniel, and Randy.
