LAKE CITY MAN COMMITS SUICIDE
NORMAN W. SHERMAN DIES BY OWN HAND FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON.
Norman W. Sherman of this city committed suicide Wednesday night, May 3, 1922, supposedly about 5 o'clock, by shooting himself twice with a revolver. One of the bullets entered near the heart and lodged against a rib and the other went in at the temple and came out at the top of the head. Two cartridges failed to explode.

Mrs. Sherman missed her husband about 11 o'clock and went out to hunt him. She found him in the garage back of the house. No reason is known for the tragedy.

Mr. Sherman was 53 years old. He formerly ran a bakery and moving picture show here, but sold out about January 1 and bought a bakery in Eldora. He ran it for a couple of months and then sold it back to the original owner and was moving back here to his former home He and his wife drove through from Eldora Wednesday. He intended to try and buy back his old business here.

He was buried in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Sherman is survived by his widow, Cora Belle (Peters) Sherman, and two daughters.

Son of Isaac and Lavina (Clymer) Sherman, he was born January 10, 1872.
