Nick Schumann, a wealthy farmer seven miles northwest of Manning, was taken suddenly ill a few days ago and died on Wednesday with congestion of the lungs. His wife, who was visiting Scott County, was telegraphed to and arrived the day before his death. The funeral took place yesterday.
