Myron F. O. Ranniger
Funeral services for Myron Ferdinand Otto Ranniger were held Sunday, October 22, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry, Iowa.
Reverend Nancy J. Nichols of Perry, Iowa officiated the service.
Interment was held in Manning Cemetery, Manning, Iowa.
Honorary casketbearers were Darwin Lingle, David Becker, Kevin Durbin, Roger Becker, Darold Popp, Virgil Popp, Eldon Popp, Dallas Popp, Don Durbin, and Duane Popp.
Myron Ferdinand Otto Ranniger, son of Henry Fredrick Ranniger and Anna Marguerita Schmielau Ranniger, was born June 12, 1917 near Manilla in Crawford County, Iowa and died October 20, 1995 at the Bayard Care Center, Bayard, Iowa at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Myron attended rural schools in Crawford County. After his schooling he farmed with his parents and later farmed with his brother Melvin near Coon Rapids. Due to failing health, Myron entered the Bayard Care Center in 1986.
Myron enjoyed watching television and wearing baseball caps. He especially enjoyed the groups who entertained with western music at the home.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin and Leonard; and five sisters, Elvira Gadient, Eldren Popp, Verena Lingle, and Wilma and Thelma Ranniger.
He is survived by his two sisters, LaJune Majerus of Des Moines, Iowa and Veronice Durbin and her husband, Lynn, of Jefferson, Iowa; many nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
