Myra J. Mohr, age 62, died at the Ambassador Sub Acute Cure Center in Omaha, Nebraska on Thursday, October 3, 1996.

Myra was born on March 21, 1934, in Manning, Iowa, to Herman Julius and Naemi (Grimm) Schroeder. She was raised in that area and graduated from Manning High School in 1951. After her graduation, Myra worked as a bookkeeper in Manning and was united in marriage to Robert D. Mohr at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, Iowa on August 16, 1953. To that union were born six children.

Myra was preceded in death by her mother, Naemi Schroeder.

She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Mohr of Oakland; sons, Randy and wife April, Rick and wife Rhonda and daughter, Marcie Jensen, all of Oakland Also, sons, Mark and Robin, both of Council Bluffs, and daughter, Monica Rankin and husband Brian of Fruitland, Iowa.

Myra is survived by grandchildren, Jacob, Christopher and Drew Molar, Julian Adkins, Meghan and Madison Rankin.

Also surviving are her father, Julius Schroeder of Manning; brother, Gary Schroeder and wife Joyce of Manning, and sisters, Gloria Higgins and husband Ed of Omaha and Delora Pfeiffer and husband Richard of Ames.

As a Personal Note: Myra and Bob moved numerous times before settling in Oakland in 1966. Myra was employed by The Oakland Feeding Corporation for several years as a bookkeeper, she worked for J & R Grocery, Casey's General Store, Iowa State Liquor Store, and the last seven years at Dinar& Department Store in Council Bluffs. She served as Bob's helpmate in the Bar-B-Que business for over 23 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oakland and enjoyed reading; traveling, the mothers Club, singing in church and "The Melody Mom's." Most of all, she loved her family and grandchildren.

The Mohr family would prefer memorials in lieu of flowers.
