Anice Josephine, daughter of Nicholas C. and Leonora (Kuhl) Loehr, was born March 17, 1923 at Defiance, Iowa. She was educated in St. Paul's School in Defiance and was graduated with the class of 1940. She furthered her education at Van Sant School of Business in Omaha. During her school years Pat worked in her parents' general store in Defiance.
Pat was employed as a secretary in Omaha for several years; she worked at Woodman Circle, the Federal Reserve Bank, and Wagner Electric. On October 28, 1946 Pat was united in marriage with Elmer Mueller at Omaha. Four children, Ann, Judy, Kay, and Robert, were born to this union. They made their home in Manning where they operated the Mueller Furniture Store.
In later years as Elmer's health began to fail, Pat took over complete operation of the business. In addition to her duties at the store Pat spent much of her time caring for her husband until his death on November 23 of last year.
Following a long illness Pat died late Tuesday afternoon, February 14, 1989 at her home in Manning at the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 28 days.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters, Carola Schleier and Anita Quinn.
Pat is survived by her children: Ann Mueller, of Emmetsburg; Judy Mueller, of Manning; Kay and her husband, George McNary, of Omaha; and Robert Mueller, of Manning; by two grandchildren, Sarah and Michael McNary; by two sisters, Selina Rewerts, of Defiance and Delphine Fromm, of Harlan; by two brothers, Father Norbert Loehr, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Cornelius Loehr and his wife, Mary, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pat was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish in Manning. She sang in the church choir and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
