MANNING --- Clinton Joseph Moore, 84 of Manning died Saturday, May 19, 1990, at the Manning Plaza nursing home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Manning with the Rev. Sushil Joseph officiating.
Burial will be at the Manning City Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Bill Strosahl, Allen Seedorff, Gail Mumm, Merlin Nulle, David Ashburn and Patrick Leon.
Honorary casket bearers are Gib Peters, Amos Lohmeier, Art Kuhn, Leslie Doyle, Glen Brady, Dorothy Kusel and Joe Sonksen.
Visitation will begin after 3:30 - 5 p.m. today at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.
Survivors include his children: Edward Moore and his wife, Darlene, of Waterloo, Dorothy and her husband, Ralph Grundmeier, of Manning, Robert Moore and his wife, Ardella, of Carroll; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister; Marjorie Frank of Manning.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; one grandchild and one great-grandson.
Mr. Moore was born December 14, 1905, near Botna, a son of Brick and Bertha (Wallentine) Moore.
He was educated in the Botna and Irwin schools, graduating from Irwin High School in 1923.
On December 20, 1926, he married Alice McKeever. They farmed in the Manning and Botna area until 1974, when they moved to Manning. His wife died November 13, 1977.
On January 5, 1979, he married Leona Nulle. She died December 10, 1988.
He had been in failing health this winter. In March, he moved to the Manning Plaza nursing home.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, in Manning and was active as a volunteer for the senior citizen program. For many years, he was a caretaker at the Willow Creek County Park.
