The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning by Pastor Edward F. Heinicke, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral Home, where the body is lying until time of the services.
Mrs. Musfeldt was born December 17, 1881, in Scott County, daughter of John and Marie (Bothfuhr) Hell. As a child she moved with her parents to a farm near Minden and then to Audubon County, where she attended rural school.
She married John Nickola Musfeldt February 27, 1902, and they lived for a year near Manilla and then for five years on a farm south of Manning. They moved to a farm north of Manning and retired in 1943, moving to town. Mr. Musfeldt died March 3, 1959, and since then she has lived in Manning, for the last year at the Manning Plaza.
Survivors include her children, Herman, John, and Albert of Manning, Iowa; Mrs. Herman (Melinda) Johansen of Harlan; Mrs. Edmund (Ella) Gaskill of Audubon, Iowa; Edward of Omaha, Nebraska; and Robert of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wadell of Andrew, Iowa; and Mrs. Josephine Hargens of Manning, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, four sisters and six brothers.
