Mildred Valeria Weiskircher
Mildred was born January 20, 1930, in Earling, daughter of Anthony and Josephine (Schneider) Stinn. She attended school in Earling. After graduating from St. Joseph's High School in 1948, she taught in rural schools for four years.

On September 23, 1952, she married Donald Weiskircher at St. Joseph's Church in Earling. They subsequently made their home on be present family farm. Eleven children were born to this union. Donald died August 1, 1974. She was a member of the Ladies Guild at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Templeton. She collected angels and loved to garden and visit with her children and grandchildren.

On May 12, 1997, she died at Manning General Hospital after a lengthy illness at age 67 years, 3 months, and 23 days.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; five brothers, Alfred, Raymond, Richard, Eugene, and Gerald; and two sisters, Dolores and Ruth Stinn.

She is survived by her children, David Weiskircher (Beth) of DeWitt; Ann (Bernard) Borer of Mead, Nebraska; Robert Weiskircher of Manning; Donna (Michael Meyers) of Burlington; Paul Weiskircher (Anita) of Missouri Valley; Susan (Douglas) of Mueller of DeWitt; James Weiskircher (Jill) of Des Moines; Amy (Jerry) Stoddard of Spragueville; Kay Weiskircher of Houston, Texas; and Kevin Weiskircher of South Amana; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Jean Stinn of Manning; two brothers, Vincent Stinn of Earling and Robert Stinn of Omaha; three sisters-in-law, Catherine Stinn of Panama, Verna Stinn of Earling, and Jeanette Weiskircher of Carroll, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held May 16, 1997, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Templeton with Father Gary Snyder officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Casket bearers were Brett Borer, Lorie Weiskircher, Kelly Borer, Matthew Mueller, Jonathan Borer, Wendy Weiskircher, Heidi Weiskircher, and Jessica Mueller. Ohde Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
