Mrs. Mildred Nihles, 48, Dies at Home
Mrs. Mildred Elsie (Emmons) Nihles, 48, died yesterday, July 20, 1939, at her home, 323 Simms Street. She was born December 11, 1890, at Manning, Iowa, daughter of Chandler and Lucy (Sampson) Emmons.

She was employed at the Wyatt Hospital there until 1911, when she entered nurses' training at Park Hospital in Mason City, Iowa, graduating in June 1922, and passing the Iowa state examination.

She was married to Charles Nihles of Montford, Wisconsin, at Rutland Center, Wisconsin. They moved to Aurora in 1926, living in South Fourth Street for a year while their home in Simms Street was being completed. Mrs. Nihles continued her nursing.

Surviving are her husband; a brother, Orrin W. Emmons of Salem, Oregon, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Nihles was a member of the Fourth Street Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held from the Healy Chapel at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, the Rev. O.B. Allen officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, Illinois.
