The body was taken to the Patterson-James Mortuary in Rockwell on Thursday from an Omaha funeral home.
Mr. Scholl, who moved to Omaha from Manning two years ago, died January 11, 1972, of a heart ailment. He was well-known for his work with Holstein cattle, and had been instrumental in founding the Manning Holstein Friesian Museum. He wrote articles for dairy publications through the U.S. and was author of a book on the Indian Chief Crazy Horse.
Son of Arthur and Josephine (Rohner) Scholl, Melvin was born December 17, 1916, in Rockwell, Iowa.
He is survived by a brother, Evan of Omaha, three sisters, Mrs. Julia Mae Reida and Eldena Scholl of Omaha and Sister M. Germain, O.P. of Dubuque.
