Mrs. Maude (Rogers) Stephany Funeral rites were held Monday at the Dunn Funeral Home in Des Moines for Mrs. Maude Stephany, Pioneer Manning resident, who died Friday, June 26, 1949, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Grover Beiter of Des Moines. She will be buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa.

She was born December 11, 1868.

The Stephanys lived in both Manning and Carroll. Her husband, Peter Stephany, was postmaster in Manning, in 1896. Surviving are two daughters: Gertrude (Mrs. Grover) Beiter of Des Moines and Beatrice Stephany of Chicago. Mrs. Kathryn Eden and Mrs. H C Reinholdt, both of Manning, are sisters-in-laws.
