Maude (Hunter) Schroeder
Mrs. C.J. Schroeder died at her home in this city last Saturday morning, February 12, 1910, after a week's illness. An operation was performed on Wednesday and great hopes were entertained for her recovery but complications intervened and she passed away. The funeral was held here Sunday morning and the remains were taken to Oskaloosa, her old home, for burial in Forest Cemetery.

Daughter of Dr Andrew and Etna (Strother) Hunter, she was born February 21, 1879.

This is one of the saddest deaths this community has experienced as but four months ago she came here a happy bride and had just got fairly started in life. Her many friends sympathize with the bereaved husband, Carl J. Schroeder.
