Matilda Stuedeman Funeral Services Held At Manning
Rites Conducted At Presbyterian Church For Omaha Woman
Funeral services for Miss Matilda Margaret Stuedeman of Omaha, former Manning resident, 57 years of age, were held this, afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. E.J. Hough was in charge of the services. Music was furnished by the mixed quartet composed of Miss Helen McGrath, Miss Emma Dietz, Herman Pahde, and Clifford Johnson. Miss Bonita Wood was the piano accompanist.

Matilda Margaret Stuedeman was born January 21, 1878, near Bryant, Clinton County, Iowa. She died at her home in Omaha Wednesday, June 26, 1935.

She was the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Rohwedder) Stuedeman, both of whom preceded her in death.

The family came to live in Manning when Matilda was nine years old. Eight years ago, Miss Stuedeman, her sister, Laura, brothers, Max and Virtus moved to an acreage in Omaha near Keystone Drive. She lived there until the time of her death.

Miss Stuedeman attended Simpson college at Indianola and taught school for many years.

She was a descendant of a pioneering and farming family and spent her entire life on the farm. For several years she had been in poor health and suffered a great deal.

The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. O.B. Walters (Alma) of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Edward Wiese (Lucia) of Manning, Mrs. Charles A. Easterly (Elsie) of Manning, Erwin, of Manning, Laura, Max, and Virtus of Omaha.
