Mrs. Mathilda Schultz was born December 26th, 1875, and passed into the life beyond on March 1st, 1922. She was baptized in early infancy and later on was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, to which she remained faithful until her death. On February 14th, 1899, she was united in the holy bonds of wedlock to Frederick Ed Schultz. To this happy union were born ten children, two of which died in infancy, and the eight who survive to mourn her death are Vidor, Edmund, Lillian, Lydia, Ruth, Viola, Karl, and Philip. She also leaves to mourn her death, her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Wenzel of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Martha Asmus, Mrs. Emma Schacht. Mrs. Rosa Rutz, Bennie Wenzel and Mrs. Amelia Fielweber, of Manning, and Siegfried Wenzel of Manilla, Helmuth Wenzel of Sandborn, Minnesota, and Karl, Hilaria, Magdalene, Geraldine and Wilhelmina Wenzel of Ft. Dodge, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church on Friday, March 3rd, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery.
