Mary Zarmstorff (born October 11, 1838 tombstone records) died Sunday evening February 16, 1913, about after a week's illness. She was 74 years, 3 months and 5 days of age. She and her husband, Fred Zarmstorff, who survives her, came with the early settlers and have lived here since.

She leaves no children.

Burial took place Wednesday; Rev, Fruechte preaching the funeral address at the Presbyterian Church. Afterwards the body was taken to the Manning Cemetery and laid to rest.

She was born in Germany and has practically no relatives in America.
