Mrs. Mary Wever, 82, of Coon Rapids, died at 7:30 yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Paulsen in Glidden. Mrs. Wever, who had been in failing health for some time had been critically ill since Sunday night. She had made her home with Mrs. Paulsen for nearly a year.

Funeral rites are to be held at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Mrs. Paulsen's residence, with the Rev. Eugene Alexander, minister of the Coon Rapids Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be beside her husband in the Audubon Cemetery.

The body is being returned this afternoon to the home of Mrs. Paulsen from the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.

Mrs. Wever is survived by one son, L.F. Wever of Hampton, and two daughters, Mrs. Mila F. Williams of Silvis, Illinois, and Mrs. Paulsen.

Mr. Wever and Mrs. Williams are here now.

Mrs. Wever leaves sixteen grandchildren. Two grandsons are in the service, LeRoy Paulsen and Kermit Wever.

Her husband died April 1919.

AGED ELMA WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Sophronia M. Gardner died Thursday last, aged 78 years. Death came after a long illness following upon a paralytic stroke. Surviving are the husband, who is in the Western Washington hospital and is aged 82 years; and nine children: Emmet C. Gardner of Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs. Ellen M. Rhodes of Tacoma; Moses Gardner of Osage, Kansas; Mrs. Etta Weaver of Manning, Iowa; George W. Gardner of Eagle, Colorado; Mrs. Cora G. Whitney of Leona, Kansas; Edwin I. Gardner, William L. Gardner and Robert E. Gardner of Elma. Mrs. Gardner was a native of New York, had been a resident of this state for the past 30 years and of Elma the last six years. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Methodist Church. Intent being at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
