Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catherine Mundt, 87, were held on Saturday morning, April 1, 1967, at 11:00 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with Pastor Edward Heinicke officiating.
Dorothy Kusel, organist.
Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Mundt, who has been in ill health for 5 years, died early Thursday morning, March 30 at the Manning Plaza, where she had been in residence since its opening. Daughter of Timm and Catherine Heinrichs Anthony, she was born October 27, 1879, in Washington Township.

She attended rural schools and was married to James Mundt on June 29, 1898. They farmed eight miles north of Manning for thirty-three years, then moved to Manning in 1931.
Mr. Mundt died January 30, 1955.

She is survived by her daughter, Bernice and son-in-law, William Spiese, of Manning, and a sister, Mrs. Louis C. (Lena) Thiedeman of Westside.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, James, in infancy; a brother, John Anthony, a sister, Mrs, Henry (Anna) Hagge, and a sister, Emilie, in infancy - February 20, 1882.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society.
