MRS. CHARLES MUHLBAUER

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 2, at Sacred Heart Church here for Mrs. Charles Muhlbauer, 68, of Manning, who died Wednesday morning, July 30, 1958, at St. Anthony, Hospital in Carroll, where she had been a patient since July 15.

Requiem mass will be read by the Rev. Thomas Molloy. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Muhlbauer, Alfred Riesselman, Vernie Riesselman, Melvin Herbers, Joseph "Junior" Hugeback, and Leonard Stoberl.

The body is resting at the Ohde Funeral Home here, where the rosary will be recited by the Sacred Heart Rosary Society Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. and will be led by Fr. Molloy at 8:30 both nights.

Mrs. Muhlbauer, the former Mary Stoberl, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stoberl. She was born February 2, 1889, at Furth im Wald, Germany. She came to the Halbur area in 1910.

She married Mr. Muhlbauer January 7, 1912. The couple lived on various farms in the Halbur vicinity until 1948 when they moved to Manning.

Mrs. Muhlbauer is survived by her husband and nine children: Charles J. Muhlbauer, Halbur; Henry J. Muhlbauer, Wichita Falls, Texas; Joe Muhlbauer, Manning; Mrs. Wayne (Sophie) Kuhse, Wilmington, California; Anthony Muhlbauer, Manning; William Muhlbauer, Manning; Mrs. Vic (Madre) Wendl, Dedham; Louie Muhlbauer, Audubon; and Mrs. Wesley (Rose Ann) Nulle, Manning. She also leaves 37 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters in Germany.

Her parents and an infant son preceded her in death.
