MARVIN AUGUST WIEMANN
Marvin August Wiemann, 68, of Manning, died Sunday, November 4, 1990, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with Pastor Robert Riggert officiating. Burial will be at Manning City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.

Born June 29, 1922, in Stevens County, Minnesota, Mr. Wiemann was a son of William and Sophie (Porsch) Wiemann. He attended schools in Minnesota until 1932 when he moved with his family to Audubon County, Iowa, near the community of Gray.

He attended Lincoln No. 8 rural school near his home and graduated from Gray High School.

On January 20, 1943, he was married to Naomi Raebel at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. They farmed for a few years before moving to Manning, where he worked for his father-in-law at Raebel's Produce. He then began working at the Wenzel Locker, which he eventually purchased and operated with his wife.

After the locker business closed, Mr. Wiemann, worked as a custodian in the Manning Schools until he retired in 1985.

Mrs. Wiemann died on December 8, 1979.

Mr. Wiemann married Elvera Hermansen Regan at Red Oak, Iowa, on April 6, 1985.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.

Mr. Wiemann is survived by his wife, Elvera, of Manning; many cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi; and his parents.
