Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bohnsack returned August 6th from Fremont, Nebraska, being called there by the death of Mrs. Bohnsack's mother, Mrs. Martha Nissen. For three weeks Mrs. Bohnsack had been at the bedside of her mother and with other relatives did everything possible to prolong her life but of no avail. The deceased was born in Germany March 23, 1841, and died August 3, 1912. In 1868 she was united in marriage to Carsten F. Nissen. The union was blessed with nine children, three of whom died in infancy and one, a son, at the age of 31, at Fremont, Nebraska. Those left to mourn the death are the grief stricken husband, Mrs. C.J. Bohnsack of Manning, Mrs. James Magaire, of San Francisco, California, Helen Ricka and John Nissen, of Fremont, Nebraska.

Mr. and Mrs. Nissen formerly lived at Manilla where they still have many friends.
