Funeral services will be held at the Ohde Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomsen had lived in or near Manning for nearly sixty years. She was born Margaretha Hansen in Langhorne, Schleswig, Germany, January 31, 1850. She married Lorenz C. Thomsen in her native country February 9, 1879.
Mr. Thomsen came to America alone in 1875 and took work in Carroll County. He then went back to claim his bride, after which they came to America to make their home on a Crawford County farm near Manning. They lived on this farm until they retired to make their home in Manning in 1900. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary February 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomsen had six children, all of whom have passed away.
Five children died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Alma Lohmeier, passed away October 25, 1936.
Mrs. Thomsen is survived by her husband, one granddaughter, Mrs. Albert Andresen, and one great-grandson, Norman Nick Andresen. She was the last of a family of four children.
Mrs. Thomsen was a member of the Lutheran Church.
