Mrs. Margaret Schrum, of 1516 West Fourth Street, died this morning, January 27, 1909, at Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient two months for treatment for heart and stomach trouble. She was the widow of the late Marx Schrum, whose death occurred four years ago. Mrs. Schrum was born in Fedderingen, Kreis Dithmarschen, Holstein, Germany, June 7, 1842. Her maiden name was Margaret Heesch.
She is survived by her son, Otto H. Schrum, deputy county clerk, and her sister, Mrs. Andrew Spies.
Mrs. Schrum was a woman of beautiful character, and had a wide circle of loving friends who will be grieved to learn of her demise. The funeral will be held from the residence at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
Interment, will be in Fairmount Cemetery, in Davenport, Iowa.
