Margaret passed away August 12, 2012, at Berwick, Nova Scotia, Canada, with burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Billtown, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Margaret was a homemaker and had been employed with MW Graves, the Dominion Paper Board and GW Allen. She loved the company of friends, and would always make them feel welcome in her home. Margaret's quick wit, gift of gab and infectious laugh will be missed by those who knew her.
Margaret is survived by her sister Madeline Parker, Canard; two sons, Allison (Davina), Ottawa; Daryl (Carol), Chipman Brook; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; a daughter, Carolyn (George) Sawler; five brothers, Starr, Blake, Earl, Philip and Harold; six sisters, Ruth, Gladys, Mildred, Winnifred, Hilda and Uta.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating.
A private family burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Grand View Manor Berwick. The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Grand View Manor for their kindness, care, and compassion.
