Marena Rowe

Private burial services for Marena Minna Clara Rowe were held at the Los Gatos Memorial Park with Pastor Richard Corson of the First Methodist Church officiated.

Marena Minna Clara Rowe, daughter of Carsten H. Jahn and Alfreida (Schroeder) Jahn, was born February 5, 1916, in Hayes Township, Crawford County, Iowa. In August 1937 she was united in marriage with Clinton Rowe, son of Father F.N. and Mrs. Rowe of Denison, Iowa. Following their marriage they moved to California where they had since resided. Marena was employed at Macys at Valley Fair in the 1950s and 60s. She loved golf and was a member of the Deep Cliff Golf Course.

The couple was blessed with the birth of two children, Ronald Rowe and Kay Weaver.

Marena died on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the Villa Fontana Retirement Home in San Jose, California at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1974; her parents and brother, Louie P.H. Jahn all of Iowa.

Marena is survived by her son. Dr. Ronald Rowe, DDS, of Santa Cruz and daughter Kay and Husband, Glenn Weaver of Sunnyvale. Granddaughters, Dr. Carole Weaver of Seattle, Washington, and Joanne Weaver of New York City; a sister Marie Brus and a brother Paul Jahn and wife of Iowa; a sister-in-law, Marion; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Rowe and wife, Vernon Rowe, and Donald Rowe and wife; numerous nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
