Mrs. Schmidt's Services Tuesday

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral home here for Mrs. Mamie Schmidt, 50, who died Saturday morning. The Rev. W.P. Gauer, minister of the Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning cemetery.

Mrs. Schmidt, who had been afflicted with a heart condition for two years, became seriously ill Friday night.

The former Mamie Opperman, she was born June 20, 1902, in Crawford County. Her father, William Opperman, preceded her in death.

She was married January 9, 1924, to Henry Johannes Schmidt. The couple lived in Manning and also farmed prior to Mr. Schmidt's death May 6, 1934. After his death, Mrs. Schmidt returned to the home of her parents, where she lived for 18 years.

Surviving are three children: Harold, Manning; Glen, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Ruth, Manning; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Opperman; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Lena) Ranniger, Carroll, and two brothers, Emil J. and Rudolph Opperman, Manning. One child died in infancy.
