Maggie Puck
Graveside services for Maggie Puck were held Friday, September 20, 1996 at 5:00 p.m. at Manning City Cemetery. Reverend Marshall Brown of the First Presbyterian Church, Manning, Iowa, officiated the service. Casketbearers were Eddie Puck, Vicki Puck, Garry Puck, Becky Puck, Ben Puck, Kathy Puck, Ella Lauritsen, and Earl Lauritsen.

Maggie Puck, daughter of William and Margaretha Joens Puck, was born February 4, 1900, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, Iowa. She attended the rural schools near her home. Maggie made her home on the family farm; she served as housekeeper for her brothers, George and Harry. Later she moved to Manning and made her home with Harry and her sisters, Ella Puck and Minnie Clausen.

On May 14, 1989, Maggie moved to the Manning Plaza Nursing Home. She died there early Thursday morning, September 19, 1996, at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 15 days.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and by the following brothers and sisters: Peter, Albert, Alvina Ewoldt, William, Minnie Clausen, George, Ella, Frieda Berkheimer, Laura, Adolph, Harry, Edward and Bernhard Puck.

Maggie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years.

Maggie is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.


Maggie Puck is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
