Mrs. Magdalena (Rostermundt) Meggers, 78, died at the Pfoltner Nursing home here Tuesday morning, January 20, 1953. Her death followed a stroke which she suffered January 11.

Funeral Thursday
Funeral services will be, at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ohde Funeral home. The Rev. John Klosperboer, of the Manilla Presbyterian Church will officiate. A quartet will sing.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers.

Mrs. Meggers, daughter of John and Marie (Pfenning) Rostermundt, was born July 22, 1874, in Rasthusan, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Coming to Manning from Germany in 1893, she married Johannes Meggers June 9, 1895. They celebrated their golden Wedding anniversary in 1945.

Since her husband's death, May 28, 1946, Mrs. Meggers had lived alone in her home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Meggers moved to Manning in 1917, when they retired from farming.

Surviving are three brothers Jacob Rostermundt, Omaha; Henry, Blair, Nebraska; and Julius, Glendale, Arizona. A sister, Mrs. Margaret Petersen, preceded, her in death,
