Mrs. Mae Carrie Schroeder, 84, of Gray died Tuesday evening, April 28, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, where she was admitted that morning. Mrs. Schroeder was born in Washington Township, Carroll County, on September 15, 1885. She was a daughter of George and Alvena (Ohrt) Stribe. She attended rural schools, and on October 15, 1913, was married to Peter H. Schroeder. They farmed in Lincoln Township, and following his death on January 30, 1966, Mrs. Schroeder continued to live on the family farm with a son, George. She was a member of the Gray Methodist Church.

Surviving besides her son are a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Verna) Musfeldt of Manning; four grandsons, four great-grandchildren; a sister and a brother, Mrs. Jessie Nissen and Herbert Stribe, both of Manning.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Alta) Wilson in 1955; a sister, Mrs. Clara Konrady; and two brothers, Frank and Charles Stribe.
