Mrs. Resner of Ronan Passes
Lydia Margaret (Schaerer) Resner, wife of Dr. Andrew Resner, died at the family home here Sunday morning, June 9, 1935, following a brief illness. Daughter of John and Margaret (Laemmelin) Schaerer, Mrs. Resner was born in Sherill, Iowa, in 1870, and was married in Crete, Nebraska, in 1890.

Besides her husband, she leaves four sons: Herbert of Seattle, Washington; Roy, Carl, and Harold of Ronan, who were at the bedside when she passed away. Also surviving are a brother, Bernard Schaerer, of Roseberg, Oregon, and a sister, Hannah (Mrs. Hans) Zumstein of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The body is at the Retz Chapel at Polson. The funeral will be held at the Methodist Church here Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Rev. Mr. Ashworth will officiate.

Burial will take place in the Ronan Cemetery and the Eastern Star will have charge of the services at the grave.

Dr. and Mrs. Resner came to Ronan in 1910, from Manning, Iowa, where they lived from 1895 until moving to Ronan, and have made their home here where Dr. Resner has practiced his profession Mrs. Resner was active in civic and religious affairs of the community. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star, chaplain of the Auxiliary of the American Legion, and active member of both the Ladies' Aid society of the M.E. Church, and Ronan Woman's Club. She was librarian of the Ronan Library and until recently was as an assistant in the Ronan Post Office.
