She was the youngest of 6 children born in 1913 to Peter and Ellen (Meehan) Lally in Centerville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Thomas J. Rowan; by her daughter, Mary Ellen Tye; her son, Patrick J. Rowan MD; her parents; 2 brothers, Adrian J. Lally and Francis M. Lally; and 2 sisters, LuVerne A. Lally and Leone M. Essex.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Jane R. Mott (Gerald), Rita R. Satalia (George) and Brigid A. Rowan; a son-in-law, Joseph W. Tye; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia J. Rowan; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her body was donated to Wright State School of Medicine. Final interment was with her husband in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Manilla.
A memorial mass at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 218 K St.
will be celebrated at a later date. Two of her favorite charities are Hospice
of Dayton and Bethany Lutheran Village.
